The second phase of the PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Korea League recently concluded last June 29th, with the winning squad getting the lion’s share of ₩200,000,000 KRW (180,000 USD) and the top 4 teams securing a slot to the MET Asia Series: PUBG Classic. After six weeks of intense action, Gen.G Esports, DPG Danawa, DeToNator.KOREA, and DPG EVGA have risen above the competition to become Korea’s representatives to this largest PUBG tournament in Asia.

With a grand total of 419 garnered points, Gen.G Esports bested 23 other squads in the pool, earning themselves the PKL Phase 2 trophy, ₩ 60,000,000 cash, and a guaranteed seed for the third phase of the country’s main league and highest division for Korean PUBG. Before they return to the Korean battlegrounds for the third phase, however, Esth3r, Chelator, Loki, Taemin, and Pio will be carrying the South Korea flag alongside the second, third, and fourth-placers to this year’s last PUBG Classics installment.

The opportunity to secure another slot for the World Championship of this year’s competitive season is for the taking at the MET Asia Series: PUBG Classic. As a known PUBG powerhouse region, South Korea will prove once and for all that the right to be dubbed the strongest PUBG squad belongs to them.
